A concept conceived in 2018 and then birthed in 2019, Mens Medicine emerged from the humble beginnings of 6 men. From that very first gathering Mens Medicine evolved into an international movement that has travelled all across Australia & NZ facilitating our signature Mens Walks, which further evolved into:
Also working many other private events, community events, online events, corporate events, even working with teenage boys at Christchurch Youth Prison, Oranga Tamariki.
Throughout our time in this space there are 3 things we have become highly experienced in.

Breathwork is the modality that connects it all together.
The Breath is the bridge to all things. Your Body to Your Mind, Your Body & Mind to your Soul & Spirit.
Breathwork is the backbone of our work which can be found in every single one of our workshops, events, and programs, online & in person.
Over the last 5yrs of the building, growing, and evolving Mens Medicine with all the above events we have worked with thousands of Men & Women, and young people, where breathwork has been part of all of their journeys with us.
After many years, thousands of people, across many cities & different countries we are finally ready to share how it’s been done.
THE MENS MEDICINE METHOD.
Breathwork: noun (breth-wərk)
Conscious, controlled breathing done especially for relaxation, meditation, or therapeutic purposes.
When it comes to the facilitation of breathwork what we would like to invite you to look at breathwork like is that it is a tool.
The style of breathwork or the combination of techniques you use will be influenced by:
Dependant on the environment you’re in, the people you’re working with, and the amount of time you have to work with, these will all be determining factors on the specific breathwork you facilitate your clients/group with any given session.
All breathwork sessions will always be about the client/group and their desired goals/outcome they are seeking your services for with the modality of breathwork.
Whether it be though meditation, high performance, nervous system regulation, or a deep release, the outcome will vary from person to person, and from session to session.
Your skills as a breathwork facilitator will influence how greatly you can support your client/group through your own competency, skill range, and personal embodiment.
Facilitation: noun (fəˌsɪlɪˈteɪʃən)
The art of helping other people to deal with a process or reach an agreement or solution without getting directly involved in the process, discussion, etc. yourself.
Beyond learning the skill of facilitating the modality of breathwork, strong facilitation skills will support you in being able to move from working 1:1 to group sessions, and working with 1 to many.
When it comes to ‘Facilitation’ itself, we would like to invite you to think of this as more of the coaching side of things.
Facilitating a breathwork session itself is powerful, being able to facilitate your client/group through multiple progressive breathwork sessions or larger workshops/programs, that supports them to grow forward as oppose to only a therapeutic or cathartic release in a single session or 2, is where the longer lasting change starts to take place.
